Fashionista Violet Shampoo & Conditioner by TIGI Catwalk | Review

Fashioinista Violet shampoo and conditioner tones your hair!

TIGI Catwalk Fashionista is a home use toner for blonde hair and is colour safe.

Hello & welcome back, Mark here,

More products arriving from TIGI Haircare !

I have good news, yet another discontinued product line is re-released to the TIGI Catwalk haircare range. Catwalk Fashionista is now back in production with a completely new formula. Catwalk Fashionista has a slight ash/purple toner built in to both the shampoo and conditioner. The older original formula Fashionista was released in 2006 and was also purple in colour but did not do what the new Fashionista does. The original Fashionista conditioned and repaired your hi-lites and full head colours but there was no toner in the original range. (pictured below)

Will more of the original Fashionista styling products follow soon?

Pictured left to right; Fashionista conditioner, shampoo, Big & Bigger (a very strong hold mousse), Spritz & Shine (a low hold blow dry spray), and the Smooth & Shine ( leave-in blow dry, smoothing cream, with no hold)

I’m pretty sure (I will put money on it) that all these older Fashionista styling products will be following very soon to the new range. The new Catwalk Fashionista is flying off the shelves already in the first 6 months of release.

How do you use the TIGI Catwalk Fashionista shampoo and conditioner to tone your hair?

Wet your hair thoroughly, Apply the shampoo, the size a 10p/dime amount. When shampooing, don’t just shampoo your scalp, rub your hair together with other hair. On longer hair you should shampoo the middles to ends for a least a minute (as well as your scalp).

Conditioning and Toning with Fashionista.

After shampooing, towel dry so your hair is not dripping. Apply the same amount of conditioner, maybe twice the amount on longer hair, and then comb through with a wide toothed comb. Once the conditioner is evenly applied, use your hands to rub the hair quite vigorously for a couple of minutes, this will then start to remove the brassy/yellow dull tones. Leave on for maximum toning for around 3-5 minutes, rinse really really well. Dry your hair in your usual style, then view your new toned blonde hair by a window to see the best results.

Catwalk Fashionista should really be used alternately with another shampoo, perhaps the TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey, a nourishing range for coloured hair. Use Fashionista weekly or fortnightly, not every day as you will start to see more blue/purple ash tones. Use Fashionista everyday if you want a really purple ash look to your hair.
